week #8
ohhh, it was not a great week, let me prepare you! a busy week(end) + PMS aches + a virus on the way = disaster ; )
oh and another thing... I don't want to write the daughters name on here because of privacy reasons. that's why I always write 'the daughter', but that's also not really how I want to do it. so from now on I will call her D (from Daughter). so if you see me writing about D, it's the daughter ; )

/ on Monday morning we had our last breakfast at the grandparents in Germany before we packed our stuff and drove home. luckily, the snow that fell in the night was mostly gone again and the trip home was without problems.
/ after bringing our stuff home we directly picked up D's friend B. D invited her to go to the cinema, to celebrate her belated birthday. now that there was finally a cute kids movie in the theater, it was time to go! we saw miss moxy and it was cute and fun!
/ after the movie the girls wanted to play together at our house, so that's what we did. but it got clear not long after arriving that D was too tired. not that strange, because we had a very busy weekend! we brought B. home and the rest of the afternoon was for taking it easy on the couch.
/ my new exercise bike was delivered and the husband and daughter took it on them to build it in the living room, while I was trying to get rid of a monster headache, lying on the couch next to them. I planned on doing my first 30 min bike ride, but my body thought otherwise... so I went to bed early.
/ on Tuesday everyone slept a little longer, except me. at 8 I was finished folding the laundry and tidying the living room. my monster headache from yesterday was still there, and I felt like I had to tackle the most important things in the morning... because my guess was that I couldn't do a lot after that.
/ D has a new food phase and I joined her; bread with cheese and apple butter, hmm. haven't eaten that in ages!
/ on Wednesday morning I felt very bad due to a cold, PMS and headache and a sore body from physio exercises. I had the feeling it would be a lazy resting day...
/ but around 11 I started to feel a bit better and decided to make a walk. the sun was out (finally!) and it was dry, so circumstances couldn't be better. I walked through the fields and mud and it felt like the wind made my head empty. I directly set a new intention to go on a walk at least once a week!
/ during my walk I realized my hiking shoes are a bit old. I bought them in 2019 and used them to train for a marathon hike. the soles endured a lot of kilometers... time to exchange them. and I got lucky, I found some on sale!
/ I've been exchanging our fruit & vegetables for organic. there are more and more researches coming out about PFAS and other chemicals on them. and it costs a bit more, but it feels a lot better! I'm at the point now where I don't mind giving up other things, to invest in organic products.
/ the teachers from after school care put new pictures up in the app. they had an ‘after carnaval spa day’ and all the kids - including D - got their own footbath and eye patches. what a lovely idea!
/ I made some changes to the blog again. I added some link to the homepage and changed the menu buttons.
/ been listening to harry styles - aperture and really like the vibe!
/ the workweek was somehow extra tiring this week. on Saturday I was so tired I didn't know how to get through the day. but I did somehow.
/ one nice thing this week at work, was starting with making spring and easter wreaths. one of my favorite things about being a florist!
/ something I was looking forward to for some time was the newest album release from apparat. the album the hum of maybe came out! listen here. I want to go see him again so badly! even if I am still getting used to the album (and maybe even like the older stuff more, but it's still growing on me).
/ my blog was featured on ohh.directory, cool!
/ it's not often that the husband and I find the time to watch a movie together, but on Saturday evening we did! we saw twinless. in the first 2 minutes I had the plot figured out, but even then, it was a good movie! I loved how everything was intertwined and how all heavy emotions were portrayed.
/ on Sunday we had a nice outing planned. my sister got D a birthday present: Paw Patrol in the theatre. it was so cool! all main pups were on stage in a fantastic costume singing and dancing. it was so much fun! before going I didn't think it would be this fun : D
/ after the theatre we had a coffee at my parents. and for dinner we went to the snack bar in town. some months ago we won a gift voucher and we thought it was a good day to redeem it. a nice end of D's vacation. next week school starts again!
/ Sunday evening I was happy that the Sinupret tablets apparently did their work. the virus didn't take hold and I was feeling a bit better. still very tired, but not sick at least!
