week #50
/ on Monday I met up with E and we had a very short but lovely talk over coffee.
/ on my way to the meet, I saw a large buzzard sitting in the meadow right by the road, nibbling on something. I'd never seen one so close!
/ I finished reading we need your art and read an interesting article on Psyche: why some healthy habits still require so much effort.
/ the daughter asked this week: "mom, how old is the moon? I think it's one hundred thousand million!"
/ I treated myself to a heating pad for my neck and shoulders. that's the area that's always been a weak spot. and as a florist, it's the area that's challenged most often. after workdays, I now usually use the heater, watching series or making puzzles.
/ on Tuesday, the logo we (the daughter and I) submitted for the local design contest at school won 1st price! proud!
/ another candle was lit for someone in the hospital.
/ it was a good Qi Gong week; I took four classes. the only downside... I had quite some muscle pain :' )
/ the daughter had her annual Christmas play at school. she was one of the shepherd's sheep, with a fluffy white vest and a tiara with ears. she looked so cute and cuddly! <3

/ every year I try to make a Christmas bauble photo. this year's photo was taken in the garden, when we were cleaning out the leaves. our neighbor has a big Christmas bauble hanging in her tree.
/ on Saturday, after a busy week at work, I cycled home at dusk through patches of fog, which felt magical <3
/ I finished puzzle 12 of 12!
/ I hadn't quite gotten into the Christmas spirit this week, despite all the Christmas crafts at work. but I think that's because it's not that cold outside? it feels unusually warm for this time of year...
/ the weekend was full of playing games, lots and lots of games!
/ on Saturday, we received a message that the bathroom cabinets we ordered weeks ago (that were supposed to arrive at the warehouse at the end of January) had already arrived. on Sunday, we took a trip to Belgium and picked them up. now we just need to find the time to assemble them!
/ my wrist was bothering me a bit this week, so I wore a splint for a few evenings to give it some rest. every time it started aching badly, I thought, “now I'm really going to call the physical therapist!” but apparently, the splint repaired my wrist just enough after wearing it for half a day. as long as I can manage, I'm fine with it, but it's something to keep an eye on.
/ Sunday was that day again! time for a movie on the couch with the three of us! this time we watched that christmas, a super cute animated Christmas movie.
