week #34

➜ wow, 6 weeks of school holiday flew by! our last week started now and it went by slow and fast at the same time. just one more week before the school run starts again... I'm happy to get back into my normal routines, but I'm also a bit sad it's already over?
➜ after several rainless months, we finally got some showers on monday morning. I was so happy! it directly put me in autumn mood (which I love). with a cup of warm tea I made a big puzzle with D and it was so cozy!
➜ in the afternoon we spent some hours at my parents catching up. they're traveling with their caravan soon again, so it was good to see them before they left.
➜ tuesday morning flew by. D and I got the hama beads from the attic and we printed out some patterns to make. she made skye and gabby and had so much focus! I think it took us 1-1,5 hours and she had full attention the whole time. this is definitely different than half a year ago. I don't know if it's the age, or if she's calmer without school?
➜ the tapout was delivered and I directly tried it out. I put a full lock on Instagram for now, so that it's completely unreachable (unless I physically tap out at the chip). the only time I need instagram, is when I post my linocut works. so I decided to use a short tap out moment once a day for posting. let's see how that goes!
➜ the husband had some unexpected extra free time from work, so he took tuesday and wednesday afternoon off to have some quality time with D. that gave me some extra time in the studio!
➜ wednesday morning was filled with loud little girls giggles. D had a playdate with one of her kindergarten friends and they had the best time. they don't see each other that often - like once every quarter, because they go to different schools - but they always start off from where they left. so special <3
➜ on thursday I had my first workday again after 2 weeks of holiday. and it was a HARD first week. I wrote about it here.
➜ this week I was in bed every evening at 21:30. I felt like my body was fighting hard (against inflammation?) that it just couldn’t handle anything. I couldn’t even find the right words to describe this kind of fatigue…
➜ because work was so hard, my mood was also low this week. I was in survival mode and fighting through the days. I wish I could write something different here. but sometimes life just sucks.
➜ on Sunday we drove to an indoor swimming pool a bit further away, where we haven't been in a while. we spent 4 hours there in the kiddy pool, making rounds through the lazy river and floating in the waves. it was a fun morning, but I was exhausted when we got home and napped for two hours :' )
➜ in the evening we watched the last episode of clarkson's farm. hopefully not the last season ever!
➜ next week will be the end of this years school holiday. getting back into our normal routine, getting up early and getting to school in time. and also more time to plan my time in the studio, cleaning the house, and getting back into sports. I hope the last one will not be too hard, because I lost all built up endurance in the last weeks that I didn't do anything at all...
