week #33

➜ after my great citytrip weekend it was my first day at home again with D. back to normal. the day was mainly filled with our new hobby, sticker by number (like paint by number, but with stickers!). D had her own books with cupcakes, rainbows and unicorns to sticker. and I had my adult version with artworks. it was surprisingly meditative.
➜ on Tuesday it was time for a little outing with D. we took the bus to Maastricht to visit the bonnefantenmuseum. we saw the born to play exhibition that was a lot of fun!
➜ D made a painting of the solar eclipse before seeing it. with the round sun, the blue moon coming up in front and green stars. love it!
➜ on Wednesday evening we drove to the husbands work in Germany to have a bbq with the colleagues and go up to the roof to see the solar eclipse.
➜ Thursday I had a day off and took an epsom salt bath in the morning #thefatigueisreal
➜ I finally saw the movie at eternity's gate about vincent van gogh. I thought it was visually nice to look at, but also yearned to know more about his life. might watch another movie about him soon, because it made me very curious!
➜ this week I also got into dopamine tracing. it seems I'm currently drawn to meditative things?
➜ I had a productive week making prints: solar eclipse & sun and moon.
➜ during my mini art retreat I decided I want to start up my print club again, so I worked 2 whole days to make everything for the first edition. you can get a sneak peek + don't forget to sign up! would love to see you there :)
➜ the husband was in Berlin to participate again in the 100MeilenBerlin. so D and I had some extra mother-daughter quality time.
➜ we tried to have a little outing every day. on Saturday we went to our towns ice cream farm. D ordered the ‘ice monster’. it had big eyes made of candy and a sour patch as tongue.
➜ on Sunday we biked to the indoor playground one town over. D had a good time going as hard as she could off the slides. after one hour we went home because we were both very tired. D with a warm, red face! another successful outing!
➜ I don’t know where it came from again after a week with less pain and stiffness, but my hands seemed to start flaring up again. it’s still very hard to predict what the effect of my daily activities will be on the pain. still working on a daily diary (after neglecting it for a week because it got a bit better).
➜ since being on instagram again for my art (after a year without any social media), I'm noticing now that the doom scrolling is slowly making a sneaky comeback. it's only insta that pulls me into the rabbit hole. and using that on desktop is not really working due to less functions that I need. so I'm becoming a member of the tap out family. ordered one for our home that the husband can also use, and am stoked to try it next week!
