week #1
/ the week started with quality time with the husband in the city. we saw Nuremberg in te cinema (very impressive!), walked around with a coffee through the streets with festive lights and had sushi at a restaurant. what a lovely day!
/ the daughter was turning 5 this week, so I printed a card for her birthday. I was happy with the result!
/ I had some Christmas money left and bought myself a new pile of printing inks in colors I didn't have yet. hopefully a good stimulus to keep the printmaking going!
/ on Tuesday we just had to plan something outside (the downside of Christmas break and cold weather = being more inside). so we went to the zoo! the daughter could lose some energy running around in the playgrounds, and we drank some hot cocoa.
/ this week I did 2 qi gong lessons.
/ I used the last package of my family pack red hair dye (that lasts 6-8 months) this week. a good moment to evaluate if I wanted to buy another same color pack or do something different. decided that this copper red became ‘so me’ in the last year and a half… can’t say goodbye yet!
/ the darts tournament was on every evening, and it was the third time we’ve talked about getting a darts board in the house. let’s see when the plans will be finalised (or if…).
/ I just worked 2 shifts this week, because of all the holidays.
/ on Thursday we celebrated the daughter’s birthday with a trip to the cinema; we saw Bluey! we ordered pizza in the evening and drank kiddy champagne. what a lovely day! and the daughter feels so big now!
/ I finished and ordered the yearly photobook. can't wait to see it!
/ our New Years Eve was a quiet evening at home. just what I needed! we watched some German television shows and the new Leo movie, one battle after another
/ we had one very short night because the daughter woke up with pain in her throat. thankfully that was gone again in the morning. but it looks like we have to get her tonsils checked out. they were huge!
/ Friday morning was last minute (panic) cleaning of the living room. something that always seems to happen before we have guests. we even moved the couch away to get to every crack and corner.
/ that afternoon the fam (my parents, sister, partner, and dog) came over for birthday celebrations. we had fresh lemon cheesecake and cupcakes. and ordered fries in the evening. it was a really good day!
/ the tableware set that we bought last week didn't have bowls in it (for pastas, curries, etc), so we had to buy them separately. at the time they were not available in the store. so I was very happy when I saw online they were in stock again this week. I directly ordered them for pickup.
/ on Sunday we had time to put away the Christmas decorations. I always get tired of them fairly quickly after all the celebrations every year ; )
/ we drove to the big Swedish furniture store on Sunday afternoon to pick up our order. we unexpectedly saw our friends L&L with the kids, so we had lunch together.
