things I want to start up again

I've been slacking a bit lately when it comes to my goals and the things I want to do. I haven't been reading, I haven't started with my puzzle challenge, I haven't made a lot of lino's...

what I have been doing a lot, is sit on the couch and work on my blog or watch series and movies. if I look at my log, I've watched A LOT! in a sense that's not bad. resting in winter is good! but, this week I've been feeling more restless about it.

most of my time is now revolved around my knee. I have my physio practice I need to work on, which takes up some time. and I also feel that resting is important for recovery too. I just don't have enough headspace to start up my (relaxing) hobbies. that's not just because of my knee. since January I'm feeling more tired and the general feeling of blah is more present. this feeling of blah and not being in the mood to take up a lot of things, is the same every year. it's nothing new.

I hope I can use this feeling to start some things now. and I have to remind myself that one small step is also a start, or progress. I don't have to finish a book or puzzle in 11 days, just to be back on schedule. I can also begin with one evening of getting a puzzle out, to have a start that I can build on. or make a short walk through my neighborhood instead of 4 kilometers with the risk of being more sick or overworking my knee. I just have to get back into a routine! small steps are better than no steps.

so, here I go on a small neighborhood walk now. let's see if this is a stepping stone to get my other hobbies going again. one step at a time.
