story of the day #52
mon 21 > it's Christmas break for the daughter, so we had a cozy day at home together. we baked cookies in the shape of a Christmas tree. they got green icing, sprinkles and eyes. in the oven they run out a bit, so we had to laugh hard when we saw how droopy they looked! : D
tue 22 > a very much needed day to myself that I spent in the art studio. I don't know how it happened so easily, but I even had the headspace to make a new linocut, whattt? a first lino of many, I hope. because I want to make it one of my '2026 analog project' goals: I want do more offline & I want to make more!
wed 23 > the daughter got the Playmobil police station from santa. she was so happy with it! she laughed her ass of many times when her crooks escaped the prison, by throwing out one side of the building.
thurs 24 > celebrating Christmas with the fam in Germany and uncle J. (who works as a chef) cooked for us! it was my first time trying his food and it was delicious!
fri 25 > the last Christmas day we celebrated at my parents. the daughter was over the moon with her giant rainbow racetrack she got from (auntie & uncle) santa! she told us a hundred times how pretty and cool it is : D
sat 26 > first quiet day at home after all the celebrations. we went for a swim and the daughter had fun diving for the new diving balls she got.
sun 27 > another cozy and quiet day at home, in pajamas all day! playing boardgames, building tracks for the Duplo train and eating the last snowman shaped Christmas ice cream.
