mon 29 > quality time with the husband in the city today. nuremberg in the cinema and sushi after <3 in 2026 we should definitely try to plan this more often!
tue 30 > I love having a week off from work, but I don't like missing my weekly moments to charge myself up again. so a good day today to go to the zoo and get some fresh (and cold) air! my head needs it.
wed 31 > my last day of work for 2025. it wasn't that busy, so I had almost the whole day to clean and pack up all the leftover Christmas stuff in boxes for next year. I'm eager to do that at home too!
thur 1 > the best of the day was our annual early morning tradition, of bringing the daughter her birthday cupcake with candle, first thing when she's waking up. every year I make a picture of her surprised face. there's nothing better than the twinkle in her eyes <3 we also celebrated with Bluey in the cinema, ordering pizza and drinking kiddy champagne.
fri 2 > oh how proud the daughter was today when she had her family birthday party (1 of 2) and she told everyone she is 5 now. she stood up from her chair, put her arms in the air and said: 'look how big I am now!!!' : D
sat 3 > first snow of 2026! was outside in the snow at 07:15 this morning (to go to work), and although it said -2 on the thermometer, the perceived temperature said -10! seemed quite accurate, because the ice cold wind went right through my pants. but it looked so lovely everywhere! think we reached 5 centimeters!
sun 4 > today our second Ikea trip during the Christmas holidays. last time we saw our friends L&L drive out of the parking garage when we just arrived there. today we saw them in line at the restaurant. what a coincidence! we had lunch together and had some time to catch up.
