pebbles

Last year we had a crazy idea: let's take a sabbatical in southern Germany. No sooner said than done. We drove to Bavaria and lived in a beautiful house by the water.
The series of pebbles I made when I got home is based on the balancing stones I always saw lying by the water. One day there was only one pile, the next day there were three or more.
The stones lay there balancing in silence, and it gave me a feeling of peace. Especially early in the morning, when no one else was at the water's edge. I tried to express that feeling in form and color. And every time I look at the prints, I think back to the beautiful Kochel See.

For Pakje Kunst I made mini versions of the prints.
