week 24 ◦ good things of the week
♡ oh how lovely it is to make your kid happy with her childhood heroes ;) we can make D very happy soon because I FINALLY found the Paw Patrol Cat Pack, after months and months of searching on Vinted (I'm not kidding, MONTHS). she was asking for Rory and Shade figurines months before Christmas. she wanted them soooo bad, that she kept on asking. but they are not made anymore and most people on Vinted sell them for 35+ euros (when they once cost 15 in store). I found them for a reasonable price, so we are getting best mom and dad award soon ;) can't wait to see the look on her face, because she has no clue yet...
♡ the garden rug arrived and it’s looking great! the colors are not too bright as I first feared. now waiting for the yearly tax return and then a visit to the furniture shop for new garden cabinets.
♡ I don’t know what got into me, but on Wednesday morning I had the urge to give the house an extra thorough clean. the windows got washed (in our household that’s a once a year happening if we are lucky, hehe). and I cleaned out my closet and put lotsss of clothes on Vinted.
♡ the new editors song is making me very happy this week.
♡ in the health department: I got myself a new physiotherapy routine for my (lower) back, because it started aching a week ago. same old story... I'm getting older! ;) but, just one session and I already feel better!
♡ it was also the week of switching up my sports, which meant no lifting weights and only hiking. I'm happy to report that I'm feeling a lot better now and my HRV is balanced again, finally. a reminder to myself to plan a rest week every 4-6 weeks from now on.
♡ I wrote about changing up my exercise routine before, and this week I decided to make another change. no more CeeCee heavy lifting challenge with 5 and 7 kg weights, but something softer for my body. still weights though, because that does feel good for my body! I'm going to try out lower weights and seated routines, so I can take the strain off my back.
♡ I tested out my new Quecha hiking backpack that I scored for a couple of euros on Vinted. I'm in love with the ochre yellow color and I don't even feel it on my back, so it's definitely a great buy. oh how I love to find all these gems on Vinted for almost no money. it feels good that I don't have to buy new and can find almost everything I need on there.
♡ the only new thing I bought recently, was this amazing sweater vest that I just couldn't resist! I found this Polish brand that just recently started selling in NL and had to get it! so in love with the flowery print!
♡ the ampelmänchen that I got my husband for his birthday finally got a spot next to the tv. it looks cozy :)
♡ there were some very eager asian hornets building a nest in our shed :X fortunately a pest control expert got rid of it in 5 minutes.
♡ seeing this grow bigger every week makes me happy & this was my happy place this week!
