dalahäst
A dalahäst (or: dala horse) is a statue of a Swedish horse. You can find these in various Swedish cities. They are handmade and painted and originate from the province of Dalarna. Originally, the horses were mainly used as children's toys, but now the horse has become a symbol of Sweden.
I've always liked them, the horses. Their distinctive red color and paintings. For my Dala series, I gave them my own twist, with (how could it be otherwise) flowers!
