break is almost over
So, Christmas break is officially over after this weekend. The daughter is starting school again on Monday. And that means my usual weekly schedule is also starting up again. I have to say that I'm looking forward to it...
I do love having some time off from work! This year even extra long, 1.5 weeks! Something I didn't have during Christmas period the last 5 years.
I also like seeing family and catching up with them over Christmas. But I also like going back to 'normal life' when the holidays are over. Getting back to my normal routine. Having set times every week where I can take care of the household chores (and don't have them in the back of my mind almost the whole week). Knowing when I have some time for myself. To relax or make art. Which a parent tends to get less of during holidays. So, yeah, looking forward to having more time to take care of myself.
Let's see what happened with my christmas break to-do's!
➜ transfer the linocut blog to ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
➜ bring old toys to the secondhand store
➜ bring bags of waste to the recycling center
➜ assemble the new bathroom cabinets
➜ give the bedroom a fresh layer of paint
➜ buy storing boxes for the attic
➜ organize the attic
The last 3 goals were a bit ambitious... Even if I would've tried to squeeze them in, there was just no time. We packed every free day with either things that had to be done (like things on the list), or with fun things with the daughter. Fun is also important ; ) Maybe the most important of all!
Painting the bedroom I will move to later this winter or even spring. And the attic is the first thing on my list for January.
Even though I didn't manage to cross everything off, I'm still pleased with the goals we did cross off. We had a lovely Christmas break!
